Santipuri textiles, named after the place Santipur in Nadia district is a Geographical Indication (GI) product of Bengal. Santipur is especially known for its superfine dhoti and saree with nature-inspired designs woven on jacquard looms. Fine cotton yarn ranging from 60s to 100s is used in both warp and weft. About 500 enterprising weavers and 1,000 ancillary artisans are producing this textile on handlooms in Santipur. Biswa Bangla has reintroduced this traditional textile on mercerised combed cotton to enhance the lustre. Mulitple washes, only enhance the look and feel of the fabric.

Embroidery:
- May have slight irregularity which is characteristic of any hand-woven, hand-embroidered or hand-crafted product. - Missing yarn, slobs and uneven yarn contrasts are general phenomena in hand-woven products. This is a natural outcome and inherent characteristic of the hand-weaving procedure which makes the products all the more unique and beautiful.
